GFEENI came up inside San Diego's SEMGang: the collective POW Magazine traces from founders SieteGang Yabbie, SieteNameKeek and KT Foreign to a roster that grew to include GFEENI and Gee El, and his catalog reads like the crew's working ledger. The 14-track “Resume Program” arrived in December 2021, the EP “Still Programing” carried features from EKillaOffDaBlockk, Toolie Trips, ProjectBabyTwin, Banzo, Flashy B, SieteGang Yabbie and Tr3yway6k, and December 2022's 12-track “Everybody Hates Feeni” (22Gfay, EKillaOffDaBlockk, Flashy B, KT Foreign) moved HipHopSince1987 to write that he was “shaking up the San Diego scene.” By that winter “Shivering” had passed 116,000 YouTube views.

He has talked about the road in his own voice: a 2023 hour-long interview on Hendo Unplugged framed around juvenile hall and prison, dealing with haters, charity work, and what Tupac and Kanye taught him. The current run: the 2025 EP “IZM OF THE G,” the 2026 single “Step For Me,” and the “Podcaster” video that brought DubCNN coverage in June 2026, pairs that history with a wide collaborative footprint: Aof Blocc, Playrunn3r and Ekillaofftheblock across “Show Me Semn,” “Boss Moves,” “cullinan” and “Always Overdo EHT.” “Khilibowl” remains a top streaming track. The sound is unmistakably Southern California, economical, rhythmic, letting the beat carry the room. He records at Audio Lounge Studios in Los Angeles.
